KNIPEX StepCut Cable Shears: A quantum leap in cable cutting

Makes cutting up to 40 percent easier

Good news for all electrical professionals: The KNIPEX StepCut 95 11 160 cuts multi-core cables substantially more easily than cable cutters of a comparable length. It cuts wires and strands one after the other, reducing the effort required by up to 40 percent. This gives the cable shears, which are only 16 centimetres long, a surprisingly high capacity: They easily and precisely cut single and multi-conductor copper and aluminium cables up to a diameter of 15 millimetres (50 mm²) and solid NYM cables up to a maximum of 5 x 4 mm².

Sits comfortably in your hand: Safety thanks to the VDE handle sleeves

The insulated handle sleeves for work on electrical installations – frequently referred to as VDE sleeves – insulate against an electric current up to 1,000 Volts when the cutting edges come in contact with live components. KNIPEX tools with VDE handles are once again subject to significantly stricter norms and safety standards with DIN EN / IEC 60900.

The graduations separate individual wires one after the other, reducing effort

This is made possible by inductively hardened blades, with a milled serrated edge on the front and a flat edge on the back. Further plus points: The KNIPEX StepCut cuts surprisingly smoothly, mostly without crushing the cables; the pinch guard prevents injury; the bolted joint enables the cable cutter to work precisely and smoothly.
