The Model 260-8 series needs no external power, avoids common mode problems, no interference or triggering of external sensitive circuits, no RF radiation. Offers reliable and rapid checks for semiconductor junctions and forward/reverse resistance tests. All versions have mirror scale for parallax elimination. The Model 260-8Xi offers all of the advantages of the Simpson Model 260-8, plus several new safety features. The bright yellow ABS housing is easy to see and also provides increased drop protection. The Model 260-8XPi includes a resettable overload protection circuit and audible continuity check. Both versions come with batteries, manual and test leads with alligator clips. The Model 270-5 has a better than 30% improvement in voltage and resistance accuracy as a full-function/range member of the Simpson Model 260 type VOM group.
